Hans-Werner Henze (1926-2012) was one of the most important German composers and directors of the 20th Century.  Most of the almost sixty years in Italy he lived in the famous Villa "La Lepara" in Marino (Rome). Henze also became famous as a writer. His watercolours and drawings - some of them inspired by his music - are now on display in Casa di Goethe, as well as photos, manuscripts, sheet music and personal belongings of the eclectic artist.
